From the outside their houses look normal. But inside a family is struggling to keep ahead of the insignificant things that have taken over their lives. Christmas ornaments. Tin foil. Newspaper. Bags of new clothing with tags still attached. Each person has latched on to something different and can't seem to let go. Depending upon the situation we'll enlist the help of a therapist, a professional organizer, or a cleaning crew who will guide our collectors through the clean-up process and give them the tools they need to keep their behavior in check. We'll give each "pack rat" a clean start and then follow up weeks later to find out if they have been able to keep their compulsive collecting at bay.
